IOSH (Institution of Occupational Safety and Health)

1. IOSH Working safely:

Working safely is for people at any level, in any sector, needing key essential knowledge ofhealth and safety . Every working person should have an understanding of the importance ofworking safely and their responsibility to do so. –This 1 day course develops the nowledge needed to work in line with good practice and keep people safe in the workplace.

Who should attend?

All levels of staff can attend this course

Objectives 

Delegates will gain basic understanding of how health and safety relates to them on a day to day basis

Course Outline

Contents will be covered in 1 day

  1. Introducing Working safely
  2. Defining hazard and risk
  3. Identifying common hazards.
  4. Improving safety performance
  5. Protecting our environment

Training Environment

This course will be interactive and theory based. Workbooks will be given to make notes throughout the day and assessments carried out throughout the day so no end of day testing.

2. IOSH Managing Safely

Often managers/team leaders/supervisors see health and safety as an inconvenient addition  to their role. This is often because of their lack of understanding of the positive role they can play in managing safety .The IOSH Managing Safely course up-skills  delegates to manage a safety more proactively and builds their confidence in managing safefy more effectively for them, their employees and the business as a whole.

This is a nationally-recognised and respected certificated training course

Who should attend?

Managers/team leaders/supervisors or anyone who has overall responsibility of work force staff from any sector of employment and organisation

Objectives 

Delegates will learn what they need to know in an interactive way

This training won’t turn delegates into safety experts but it will give them the knowledge and tools to tackle the safety and health issues they’re responsible for. Importantly, why it is such an essential part of their job.

Successful delegates are awarded an IOSH Managing safely certificate

Training Environment

This course will be interactive and have theory presentations. Two films are embedded within the presentation and board games and quizzes. There will be workbooks too complete as a quick reference guide and mock assessment papers.

Each training day is for a maximin of 10 people per course. £450 per person for the 4 day Managing safely which includes refreshments & light lunch. £150 per person  for 1 day Working Safely which includes refreshments & light lunch
