18th Edition Wiring Regulations

The awarding body for this qualification will release the 18th Edition Online exam in early July, which will then be followed by a short period of time to allow us to update our course notes and update our online exam software. Our new 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Courses will begin from the 16th July 2018.

The awarding body will be launching a 60 question ‘full course’ multi-choice exam, but as of yet, will not be launching a 30 question ‘update course’ multi-choice exam, such as when the 16th Edition Wiring Regulations updated to the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations back in 2008. Please note this procedure is identical for both EAL and City & Guilds qualifications.

Therefore, your course choices to study the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations are as follows;

Option 1 – 3-day 18th Edition course (Accredited 60 question online exam)

£440 + VAT (10% discount will be applied if booked before 31/08/2018)

This course is aimed at anyone who has not previously completed a Wiring Regulations qualification, or for any delegates who wish to complete the course, due to not having studied the Wiring Regulations for some time. Upon completion of the course, you will sit an online exam with 60 Multi-choice questions.

Upon successfully completing the online exam, you will receive an EAL Accredited Qualification Certificate.

Option 2 – 2-day 17th Edition ‘Refresher’ course + update to 18th Edition (Accredited 60 question online exam)

£380 + VAT (10% discount will be applied if booked before 31/08/2018)

This course is aimed at anyone who has previously completed a 17th Edition Wiring Regulations Qualification, but has not studied the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations for some time + requires to update their knowledge to the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations. The course is delivered over 2 days. Day 1 will focus refreshing your knowledge and highlighting key areas of the 17th Edition Wiring Regulations. Day 2 will focus on updating your knowledge on the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and discussing changes to the Wiring Regulations to bring your knowledge up-to-date. Upon completion of the course, you will sit EAL’s ‘Full course’ online exam with 60 Multi-choice questions.

Upon successfully completing the online exam, you will receive an EAL Accredited Qualification Certificate.

When self-declaring your knowledge of the current 17th Edition Wiring Regulations, please consider the impact on the completion of the online exam, should you not be currently up-to-date with this knowledge.
